Transformation: Daddy’s Method

Emotions have the ability to completely control our lives. When negative emotions run a muck we are held slave to those feelings. The Bibles says we can only serve one master and if we are held captive to our emotions we certainly aren’t free to partner with the purposes and plans that God has for our lives. Have you ever wondered what it would look like if we really lived out the Christian lifestyle that we say we believe is possible?

True metamorphosis is transformation that lets us experience freedom in all arenas of life. The key to seeing success in every role that we carry is walking in the freedom that is made available to us by the work of the Holy Spirit. It is the freedom afforded us by the Holy Spirit that allows us to walk unhindered by fear, frustration, inadequacy, hurt, disappointment, as well as the many other emotions that hinder our forward progress in the various areas of our lives (family, work, social, spiritual, etc.).

The emotions that trip us up and hold us back are the very things that Christ destroyed on the cross. Each one of us possesses the power to overcome the challenges that we face, but how often do we find ourselves living in defeat rather than victory? God’s call to transform the world begins with transforming the individual. By accepting the power of the fruits of the Spirit in our lives we lay hold of the freedom that has the power to release us from the bondage of our emotions. When we break from the slavery of our natural minds and the emotions that flow from it, we find ourselves truly able to walk in the transformative power that not only renews our own lives but empowers us to profoundly impact the world around us.
