A21 Walk for Freedom

When confronted with the horrific statistics surrounding human trafficking, it is easy to agree that “someone should do something”. In 2007, A21 recognized the need to be that “someone” and committed to combatting the injustice of human trafficking by rescuing one life at a time. After extensive research, planning, fundraising, and relationship building, they opened their first shelter for survivors of human trafficking at the end of 2008 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

A21’s Walk For Freedom is the collective effort to heighten awareness of modern-day slavery and raise funds to take us one step closer to ending human trafficking in our lifetime. The 3rd Annual #WalkForFreedom will make its way around the world on October 15, shedding light on the 27 million men, women, and children who are still in bondage. When we join forces in one single day, we not only catch the attention of our cities, but we combine our efforts to have a global impact.

With 200 walks in 28 countries participating in last year’s event, A21, a global anti-human trafficking organization, aims to raise even more funds and awareness with their 3rd annual Walk For Freedom 2016.
